IzumiCon 2009

Journal Entry: Wed Nov 18, 2009, 9:20 PM
One word... AWESOME.
Once I stepped out of there, i was already planning and waiting for next year.
Which is exactly how it went last year. lol

I cosplayed as Hinata again this year. And Unlike last year instead of just going for one day, I actually went on Friday AND Saturday. Friday mainly for shopping, since most of the crowds would be there on Saturday to shop.. and Saturday for all the fun stuff like panels and cosplay at whatnot.
Unfortunately most of the merchandise there was from new animes and stuffs... which I'm not familiar with. The only things I saw there that I actually liked were the Ramune and Calpico, and Vampire Knight, Full Metal Alchemist, and Sailor Moon stuff. =3
Most of it was Code Geass, Kurotsuji(is that right?), D. Gray Man, and Lucky Star.
The only one I'm familiar with is Lucky Star, but I've only watched the first DVD. And I've only read Vol. 1 of D.Gray Man. So... yeah. I don't really keep up with all the new stuff. I barely watch anime as it is, I really read manga more.
So that was about the only thing I was kinda upset about. I was really looking for DNAngel stuff, but apparently it's not really popular. It makes me cry.
I didn't really expect any Princess Tutu stuff, so I didn't really bother looking for it. Even though it is awesome and there should be merchandise for it. D=

I was really happy to get my FMA DVD signed by Vic Mignona this year. I had to wait in line for 30 min... but I think it was well worth it( sorry for making you wait in line with me :icondark-raven-alchemist: ) And I thought he was pretty cool at first, but eversince I went to that Interview Panel for Vic, I've grown to think he is just made of AWESOME. He's funny, nice, and he isn't afraid to share in his belief, which I find very admirable. He's also a great singer. lol
The only thing that could've made my day better was if Luci Christian was one of the guests there. =D

I only wore my Hinata Cosplay on Saturday, since that was when my friend :iconhenako: would be there cosplaying as well. And it was ALOT crazier than it was last year. I had a group of fangirls trying to glomp me, more than once. At one point I tried to run away all ninja like, but my feet started to cramp. FAIL.
I had my picture taken a couple of times, got stopped and talked to. It was really fun. At one point after my second fangirl glomping I was on my toes, I had walked back into the convention center and ran into :iconkazumihayama: .
I'm sorry I didn't recognize you at first by the way. I've only seen you cosplay L before, so I wasn't ready for a Sasuke. lol
And I think my ninja side-step could use some work.

Lunch went by pretty well, had breakfast food. mmm.. waffles.
Wore my purple wig in there, got stared at by the cooks.. one girl actually believed it was my real hair and asked what color dye I used. xD
Apparently one of the cooks saw some more cosplayers coming into the restraunt and was like "What are all these weirdos dressed up for?" lol.
But that's normal people for you.

And I must say... I LOVE CALPICO. It's this drink I found there next to the Ramune. I'm like addicted to the stuff now. Especially the Strawberry flavor. yum. x3
I tried the mango too, and it was pretty good. Ugh, if only I had bought more!

I also got a peek at the Live Action Bishoujo Sailor moon series. I kind of liked it, but it reminded me of the REALLY old Power Rangers episodes. lol. but the costumes were pretty cool, especially Prince Endymions. xD

I really wanted to go to the Bento Box making Panel, but unfortunately it was on Sunday. Most of the good stuff was on Sunday. Dx
----
There is a possibility that I will be going to A-Con with my friend :icondark-raven-alchemist: but it's only a possibility. It would be great though. It's one of those REALLY big conventions, so I'd be ecstatic to go, but it's not until next summer, so only time will tell.

That's all for now! =3

not much. Just doing a ton of DGM fanart and getting the most out of my current obsession. I'm sure I'll get over it once I cosplay Allen. LOL. I FAIL.
